ROXY -- Oakland, CA
She's back here in Oakland. Her adoptive home didn't realize the unlimited energy of the field-bred Springer. She does great at the dog park and plays with all the dogs. Great with cats and I think she'd be a gem with all ages of children. Gentle, loving, soft dog but full of energy! Needs some supervision in the house because she thinks everything she can reach is a toy for her. She had no peeing or pooping accidents during her time while "adoption pending." This is an adorable girl and just needs the right environment in which to sparkle!
2-year-old white/liver field-bred active spayed female. Good with cats, dogs & kids. Lived with 8-year-old girl since a pup. Owner surrender due to moving to home without a yard. Owner hunted her for 2 seasons on pheasant; excellent bird dog, retrieves well. Needs a gentle touch; she is a "soft" dog.

Here are a series of pix I took Tuesday evening when Roxy arrived back to us in foster care. Sorry guys, but I got dibs on the spotted Springer! She's my K.D. and I wouldn't give her up for the world! Roxy is the more open-coated (more white) Springer of the 2 you see.
Roxy tells me her dream home would be with someone who would allow her a place by the fireside with someone who hunts. If that's not possible, she would settle for a home with another very active dog who wouldn't mind playing all day long, or a very active household, for example one with lots of young children or perhaps with a dedicated jogger or hiker.
Are you her Dream Home??
