JAVA -- Oakland, CA   ADOPTED!

1-year-old white/liver spayed housebroken very active female.  Good with dogs & kids.  Cats unknown.  Loves her tennis ball, will chase & retrieve well.  Sleeps in her crate at  night.  Rides well in cars.  Good guard instincts. 

Has been known to jump 6-ft fences (see note below). 

UPDATE July 1, 2006

Java has been allowed unrestricted access to my backyard, which has 6-ft fencing & a 5-ft gate, where she hangs out with my 3-year-old female Springer, and Java is SO happy for the attention and friendship.  She has never attempted or jumped my fence. 

I believe the only reason she might do so were if she were extremely lonely?  In the right home with lots of attention, she will thrive. She is a wonderful, sweet dog who deserves a great home.
